What is Netiquette?
Netiquette describes how you should act when online. Here, we are talking about netiquette for distance learning!
Netiquette DO’s
Always
- Be respectful
- Be polite and kind
- Use academic language
- When in Web Meetings:
- DO dress appropriate for school
- DO have a neutral, still background when possible
- DO find a quiet place when possible
- DO turn off your microphone unless you are speaking in the meeting
- DO use the chat function to let your teacher know you have a question.
Netiquette DO NOT's
Never
- Be rude, mean or a cyberbully
- Use text speak (LOL, SMH) or profanity
- When in Web Meetings:
- DON’T dress inappropriately or have people or inappropriate items in your background
- DON’T leave your microphone on when you are not speaking
- DON’T talk or chat about off-topic items
- DON’T interrupt when others are speaking
- DON’T multitask (for example: no texting or playing games while in a meeting)

Netiqueta describe cómo debe actuar el alumno (a) cuando está en una reunión en línea. ¡Aqui vamos hablar de netiqueta para el aprendizaje a distancia!
Netiqueta Apropriada
Siempre
- Ser respetuoso
- Ser cortés y amable
- Usar idioma academico
- Cuando en reuniones web:
- Si use vestimentas apropiada para la escuela
- Cuando pueda tenga un fondo neutro
- Si encuentre un lugar tranquilo cuando sea posiblea
- Si apague su micrófono a menos que esté hablando en la reunión
- Si use la función de chat para hacerle saber
Netiqueta Inapropiada
Nunca
- Sea grosero, malo or un cyberbully
- Usar lenguaje de texto ( LOL, SMH) o malas palabras
- Cuando en reuniones web:
- NO se vista de manera inapropiada ni tenga personas u objetos inapropiados en su fondo
- NO deje su micrófono encendido cuando no esté hablando
- NO hable ni chatee fuera de tema
- NO interrumpa cuando otros están hablando
- NO realice múltiples trabajos ( por ejemplo: no enviar mensajes de texto o jugar juegos mientras está en una reunión)
