District Wide

Surveillance

Upon experiencing various cases of vandalism and theft during hours outside of the school day, the Hawthorne School Board approved the installation of security surveillance cameras throughout the entire District. A state of the art surveillance system with over 200 digital video cameras was installed amongst the twelve campuses.

Costing just over $900,000 the entire project was completed at the end of 2009. Since the installation of the cameras the District has seen vandalism and theft at our schools drop significantly.
